Some briefs carry more weight than others. St. Catherine’s Association has been at the heart of its community in County Wicklow since 1964, providing residential, respite, day and community care services for individuals with additional needs and their families. When they came to Islandbridge Brand Direction, and in turn us to refresh their brand identity, we understood immediately that this was work that mattered.
Designing for the care sector demands a particular sensitivity – a balance between warmth and professionalism, between approachability and authority. The new identity needed to speak equally to the individuals St. Catherine’s supports, their families, carers, funders and staff, while honouring sixty years of trust built within the community.
At the heart of the new visual identity is the ‘Heart + Home’ mark – a symbol that quietly but powerfully captures the organisation’s reason for being. A vibrant, carefully considered colour palette brings energy and optimism to every application, from stationery and signage to digital platforms and promotional materials.
The result is a brand identity that feels genuinely alive – confident, compassionate and unmistakably St. Catherine’s. Purposeful design in service of a truly purposeful organisation.
