We create identities,
we work with and develop existing brands,
we design for print, digital, and everything in between.
We are Crilly & Wardell.
Founded in 2008, Crilly & Wardell is a boutique brand agency that partners with local and global brands to engage, disrupt and inspire. We genuinely bring together brand strategy, brand identity and brand experiences to harness the power of design to drive emotion, build brands and tell your story.
Our small agency was built on an unshakeable belief: that design and creativity has the power to unleash positive change in businesses, brands and the world in which we live. Design that is purposeful and driven by insight inspires and motivates us all – we call this Design for Good.
Founder & Creative Director
When we founded Crilly & Wardell over 15 years ago our vision for the studio was as clear then as it is now: to continually push design standards through creative thinking and by boldly challenging everything in front of us.
My objective is to lead and inspire by setting the creative standard – continually encouraging high-level conceptual thinking and strong design craftsmanship. Minimal in style, I love colourful combinations, paired with creative approach to typography. The attention is always in the detail.
With over three decades of brand agency experience, I bring a range of skills from a background in brand identity, packaging, print and digital design to my role as Creative Director.
Prior to setting up Crilly & Wardell I co-founded Interweave, a new media and web design project, to explore the new emerging digital design. In 2003 as Creative Director of photographics I oversaw the studio’s rebranding to Fire, getting recognised for creative work with SKY, Irish Distillers and Diageo.
I have a huge passion for typography and constantly work to raise awareness of it’s vital role in achieving brand design excellence.
Founder & Design Director
When I set up Crilly & Wardell, it was with the core belief in original thinking and the vital connect between creativity and strategy.
Always throughout my visual communication education, and design career, I have loved putting pencil to paper and still favour that illustrative design style. My (many) notebooks are always on hand! Design needs to keep evolving but there will always be a place for blending traditional craft with new styles, techniques and materials.
The breadth of design projects and client briefs – from high profile iconic companies to local start-ups – that we work on allows me as a designer to consistently challenge my creative thinking and perfect my design skills.
